Description

This house was built in 1903 by contractor B. Davidson for the owner Robert Boyle. The first resident was a widow, Kate Moore, who lived here until 1908. Subsequent residents were Taylor Hanna, a barber, and Daniel Anderson, a carpenter. In 1920, the owner converted the house into 4 suites. The gabled roof on the upper story was extended outward where the original front porch was. The area was then enclosed.

The house has original diamond shape leaded window patterns on the first and second floor window. The same window pattern appears on all the Boyle / Davidson houses, although many have been removed.

The house is painted in VHF True Colours: Body – Strathcona Red, Trim – Strathcona Gold, Sash – Gloss Black, Deck and Stairs – Edwardian Porch Grey.
