Kitsilano
Residential
A
2556 W 3rd was built in 1911, and the permit lists William C. Smailled as the owner and architect, and James Staples as the builder. The first resident, however, was Fred L. Perry, a partner in the accounting firm Wilson and Perry. The significant features of this Queen Anne Revival style house are the asymmetrical massing, a corner turret with bay windows, a conical, steeply pitched roof, a wrap around porch, and the narrow siding.
