Description

Bentley & Wear built this home and the 7 others in a row in 1912. Most featured stained glass windows with a tulip and `martini-glass` like motif, and either double gabled upper floors or a low gabled front porch. The company built dozens of other Kitsilano homes in the Edwardian real estate boom years, including the 8 across the street at 2722-2753 W 7th Avenue in 1911.

The first resident of this house was Joseph Lukov, a jeweler in partnership with another jeweler in the real estate firm Fleischman and Co.

With the assistance of a 2004 VHF Restore It grant, the siding was replaced, and with the assistance of a 2016 VHF Restore It grant, the roof was replaced. In 2004, the house was repainted in a colour scheme authentic to its style and era with the assistance of a VHF True Colours grant.
