Located in Chinatown, this address changed ownership frequently. In 1916 it was listed as Quong Kee Produce, four years later as Kwon Wing Laundry and in 1928 as Yuen Lee Co. By 1940 the address was occupied by two butchers; Shing Chong Co poultry and Fook Lee Meats. A third butcher, Shang Lee Co Meats, occupied an address just a few doors down.

The building that currently stands was constructed in 1954. The top floor was vacant in 1955. From the 1960s to the mid 1980s, it was used by the BC Lower Mainland Farmers Co-Operative Association Organization. From 1990 until a recent closure, the space had been used by the Kiu Yick Trading Co, a bookstore and travel agency. The lower floor is currently occupied by a butcher shop called Dollar Meat Store.

This site is part of the Chinatown Historic Area, HA-1 in the City of Vancouver’s zoning bylaw. It is included in the Vancouver Heritage Register as a recognized part of the historic neighbourhood. Other similar municipally protected sites within a Historic Area are marked on the map with an O instead of the usual Heritage Register categories of A, B, or C. Some of these sites may be newer construction but are nonetheless still protected.
