Description

Constructed in 1902 for Alphonse and Marie Prefontaine who had moved from Belle Isle, Quebec, in the late 1880s. The house was one of the first built in the area, which saw rapid development during the early 20th century. The house is associated with several other early buildings in the area, including the Hesson School nearby, which the Prefontaine’s children attended. The house was converted to three rental suites in 1958.
