Description

Built in 1912 for Alice and William Munro, 455 West 13th Avenue is a Gabled Vernacular house, one of the most common historic house styles in Vancouver. Elements of the Gabled Vernacular style present at 455 West 13th Avenue include the front-gabled roof with skirt across the bottom, the hipped side dormers, and the full-width porch with hipped roof held up by posts. Typical of Vernacular styles, 455 West 13th Avenue has little ornamentation but does have dentil detailing and more elaborate posts on the front porch.
