Description

At the top of the plaque is an emblem with the words “Blood and Fire” and “The Salvation Army”.

This plaque unveiled by Colonel Harry Read, Chief Secretary for Canada and Bermuda on Saturday, May 1, 1982 to commemorate the Salvation Army’s Canadian Centennial 1882-1982 “To God be the Glory”.

On October 3, 1948 this spot was officially named Hallelujah Point in honor of the Salvation Army’s 60 years of service in B.C.
